Carfax gave its carbon neutral campaign a jump start Saturday at the Carfax 250 NASCAR Busch Series Race. The vehicle history report company partnered with The Conservation Fund and Carbonfund.org for the campaign.
The partners retired carbon “offsets” for all employee and fan travel to and from the event as well as the emissions from the 43 stock cars participating. Larry Selzer, president of The Conservation Fund describes the goals best:
“By demonstrating a market-based approach to conservation we can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard critical wildlife habitat, protect our nation’s air and water, and enhance public recreation areas for current and future generations.”
